    The Inspired Sewist’s trained and certified service and repair technician George Stiffe has been with us for 17 years. He has extensive training on BERNINA brand machines and also all other makes and models, such as BabyLock, Brother, Janome, etc. His list is endless.

    We take your investment seriously and will provide you with the best service possible to maintain the proper function of your sewing machine. It is recommended you bring your machine in once a year for a Clean, Oil and Adjust. You can trust our team to take the utmost care of your machine all while providing you with excellent customer service.

    IMPORTANT: All repairs are done right here in-store. We have our technician in the store every Tuesday and Thursday. Most machines are serviced and ready to go the same day.

    To properly service your machine, we will need the following items:

    Sewing Machine:

    The machine, power cord, and foot control

    The standard #1 zig zag foot 

    The #3a large black buttonhole foot. (This foot is to YOUR machine so we MUST have yours to properly calibrate the automatic buttonhole functions.

    Perform Regular Maintenance at Home

    Regular cleaning and oiling of your machine and other simple maintenance steps you can perform will help keep your machine in good shape between service. You should use your machine brush to clean the bobbin area after each sewing session and apply oil as instructed in your owner’s manual (and in guide class too)
